My latest find
Sold the '66 Cadillac and well onto the next one. Here is a nice treat, a European addition 350 SLC 1976 Mecedes Benz. Rides super nice. Plan on redoing the interior, carpet set, seat covers, fix two small cracks in the dash. Also, some minor paint work here and there. There are less of these in the states and the guys over in Europe are buying ours here up. The instruments are all in metric, which I think is cool.

Re: My latest find
I grew up driving a '71 Benz 250C, and man that thing hauled and handled with that straight 6 with dual carbs.
Very cool and underrated old cars. |
Re: My latest find
If anyone may know of someone interested in it let me know via PM. I will let it go for $4500 before I get into it, then I will price it out at $7500 once I am done doing what I mentioned above.

Re: My latest find
No offense, but I think this should get bumped to the Cars For sale forum.
It could benefit you better. |
Re: My latest find
the problem is that it is not a "super car". So where to share it? Other Muscle I would presume.

She did not know the history so that is all I know. I have been running it around town and really enjoy it but have decided to sell it to help pay for my '66 Mustang Convertible interior conversion. I just listed it on Ebay and will take $4500 or what ever more I can get. Here is the listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...#ht_7119wt_1071 Ya, C107 but in metric! A real euro car. The Mercedes Car Dealer can see the History of the Car with the VIN. So you can see what kind of Repairs the Car has got and you can see all special Options... Maybe this puts your price a little bit higher. A clean Maintenance book is also important. And a original Car are better selling than a tuned Car! (At least in these Car Categroies...) Re: My latest find
Greetz,
That translator will be helpful. Thanks. I was thinking about keeping it but it will need a new paint job and interior and I would hate to be upside down on it. It is a good looking, fun Mercedes car to drive though. It handles real well. Very nice for a 1976. Must be that good German engineering! Just curious as to what the value might be there where you are? In US Dollars. |

Re: My latest find
Greetz, thanks for the link. That one has a nice lighter blue paint job on it which looks good. Maybe someone over there will buy it? I have it priced right.

Re: My latest find
Het Greetz, I found in the original owners manual, the original owners name and stuff including phone number is printed in it. Can you do a search and see if he/she exist? How close are you to where they used to live, perhaps still there?

Re: My latest find
Dransfeld Germany is about 400 Km or 250 miles north of Magstadt (Jochen's home).
Route from Magstadt to Dransfeld. There is a Martin Rutschmann in Dransfeld on Heinrich-Sohnrey-Strasse 55 with a telephone number of 05502 30 06 24. This is very close to the other address listed in the posting above. Probably related if not the same person. |

I am thinking about keeping the '76 350 SLC. I have been having too much fun driving around in it and tinkering with it. Been fixing a few things but man it sure is a great ride! Having only paid $2,500 bucks for it I can afford to fix it up nice and not go upside down on it. The only major is new interior seat covers for the front and back, and a quality paint job. |

Jochen, thanks for removing the "Greetz" from your signature.
I was bothered seeing Greg calling you Greetz all the time, instead of Jochen. Anyway, it's all good. I hope the good Her Doktor likes what he has found out about his old Benz. |
