This used to be owned by two board members, Kevin S, and before that Steve S had it. It's still in the Seattle area I believe.

Actually three members including Chad Blomberg. The current owner was gracious enough to display the car in the LS-6 Showcase at last Aprils VetteFest. Super guy!

Wasn't Chad the one that found the car and bought it from the original owner 5 or 6 years ago?

Re: 1970 Harrell Camaro

I found the car nearby my home after someone posted a for sale add here for the car dating back to the early 70's. After much research and with the help of a then sYc member Ron B. who remembered the car from his youth, the car was located in the 4th owners house where it had been since the mid 70's. A deal was struck to purchase the car and on the eve of picking the car up he raised his price by $10k. I had scraped everything I had together to purchase the car and there was none left so I contacted Chad who then purchased the car and cleaned it completely. He then displayed it at the November VetteFest that year. We located the second owner of the car who still had the original Stripper wheels and tires and sold them to Chad. Neat car to say the least.

I've always been VERY fond of this car also. The only thing that could make it any cooler was if it would have been ordered as a Rally Sport split bumper car. I love the green-on-green, the white graphics, the pancake-manifold'ed LS-6 with horseshoe shifter, etc. The car is great!

I heard that Ron B had a different version on how this car was purchased originally

I must agree, my first preference was the RS. But after time, I found the RS to look a little gangly (probably cause I own a straight bumber car) I still like the RS and it is cool looking, but I honestly prefer what I have. Thus the expression "different strokes for different folks".
