1969 Z/28 exhaust systems....Who's is the best?

I am ready to buy an exhaust system for my car. Who has the best reproduction?

Ditto on the Gardner system. I installed one on my 69 Chevelle and one on my 70 Z28. They both went on almost too easy! And fit!

Curious if GARDNER use a IMCO crossflow muffler on the 69 Camaro systems, as they do on the 1970 Camaro Z-28/SS dual exhaust system.

Or do the top restored cars occasionally find NOS mufflers.

Some of the 1970 owners were fortunate to run across a batch of NOS assy line rejects.

If the Gardner system is to much for your pocket book then try D&R Classic at 1800-472-6952 here in Warrenville,Ill.They too have a good exhaust system at factory specs, correct flat spots in the pipes and correct tips at half the price.Bought one there a few years back and fit good.

Gardner - just received two systems from them. They fit like gloves. Especially great for convertibles (clearing the stiffener plate).

Re: 1969 Z/28 exhaust systems....Who's is the best

Put a Gardner system on a 71 W30 last summer. the mufflers on a W30 are 17 inches long as opposed to 21 " on all other 442 applications. As i already had NOS mufflers I wanted to make sure I got the right length head pipes. When I called Eric he confirmed that their W30 mufflers were 17" just like the originals.
The system is an awsome fit. Go for the optional "show" package and get the Stainless brackets and hangers, you will be glad you did.

As stated before & seconded!

I vote for the plated hangers & flame coated flanges!
Makes for a VERY clean installation.
Pay for quality

I am happy with my-set up and WILL return for another

Re: 1969 Z/28 exhaust systems....Who's is the best?

Garner is hands down the best but expect plenty of back pressure like the original system .If you want top performance you must go aftermarket .
