Glad this site appreciates all of the race history that is so important to our hobby.
Here is another famous article from late 1968. Cars Magazine. Stickler and Jenkins did Chevrolet performance seminars throughout the country to promote H/P Camaros. Because of the stellar season that Strickler had with this Z28 Camaro, is was the most publisized Camaro during the late 1960's. At last count, I have over 35 magazines that published ink on this Z28. Will post more as I have time. Enjoy, Jerry Jerry |

Dave,
Not yet. Still trying to locate that car. I have the dealer invoice to it. B. Jenkins let me make a copy when I was up to his shop back in 1993. I do not want to post that here. Was an original L79 car! Jerry |

Jerry [/ QUOTE ] Jerry, "Super Stockers in Action" was actually the name of the magazine. It was a pulp publication that wasn't around for that long. I have several issues and they're all packed with great photos. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Verne https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |

One more good one to post. Strickler on jack stands after breaking a transmission at the Cecil County Super Stock Show Down. He was predicted to win this event and actually equaled Ronnie Sox's SS/F time of 11.94.
Super Stock Magazine, July 1968, page 29. Enjoy, Jerry |

Dave Strickler and Ronnie Sox are regarded as the two best four speed drivers of the era. Both are in the Motorsports Hall of Fame........and deserve to be there.
