Barrett Jackson Photos
Hey guys,
I just got back from a great weekend at Barrett Jackson. Met Bruce and Dan Vasic from Pit Pal. Neat product! Onto the photos! 26k original mile '69 Z28, went for $60k before fees, original motor and owner, very nice car with original 1/4's. I have a trim tag photo here too but it will take a little to find it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/014-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/015-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/016-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/017-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/018-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...en66/019-1.jpg ***Are these photos small for everyone or just me? I'm using the Mac and not the Dell so the computer might have resized them without me knowing it? *** |
Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
The elusive 572ci powered '93 Camaro. Remember this car on the cover of Car and Driver with the orange Boss 'Stang? Man was this cool to see in person. Sounded healthy as ever! 335/17 inch steamrollers on Fikse FM5 wheels. Sported a 5 speed Tremek and open headers! sold for $140k.

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
Black COPO with nice paper. M40/10-10 sold for $92,500 (ish) before fees. Nice paper, rather clean, was like a solid #2 car. Paint was fair. All in all a very nice car for the buck.

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
Sticking with the COPO theme, how about the Silver/blue RS COPO. I do not know what it brought, but it too was a nice driver quality restoration.

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
A beautiful color combination here. Glacier blue on a white painted roof! L78/M40, no smog but detailed very nicely! Do not know what she brought however.

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
Chipper bought the glacier Blue car last year at atlantic city for a song...The guy selling didnt have alot of info on it so people were cautious on it. I wanted it but he beat me out on it. How come no one is saying anything about the 81 Turbo car. I thought that car was the bomb. Does anybody know anything about its history??

Nicely done '68 SS350, don't know what she sold for. Should '68s have a blackout tail panel?

Some GM collection cars:
Snake Skinner and Sledge Hammer (I think I'm wrong on that one) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ackson/037.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ackson/038.jpg I saw this one at NCRS National in Canada 4-5 years back. It got a lot of attention then and even more this weekend. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ackson/069.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ackson/068.jpg I have more photos if anyone wants? |
Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
New Camaro Display. The red was powered by an LS7, JR's by an LS3 and the yellow by a 300hp 6cyl. Not sure about the silver SS but it was an 8.

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
My brother and I completed restoration work on this '67 300hp/327 Vette prior to Barrett- really like days before Barrett. The bottom of the car was as clean as the top. It brought top dollar ($90,000) before commission which was a nice compliment for our work. The car was an automatic had power steering, brake, windows and air conditioning. A special thanks to BergerZ28 (Thomas Kazanji of Redz Auto Restoration) for supplying all paint/primers in speedy time! Without him, it never would have gotten done.

If I'm not mistaken the turbo car was an Automatic with a/c but I think all of them might have been outfitted that car. Other than that, I think it was the only car from that collection that did not have a story attached. -Dan More photos to come as they are up loaded |

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
I liked "Mr. Hot Rod Magazine" Steve Magnante's comment on the silver 70 Yenko Duece Nova. He said " this was the only solid lifter Nova you could get in 70." Oh yeah Steve, how about the big block L78 Novas in 1970 guess we forgot about those didn't we??? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/stupid.gif
Just another thing that made watching that auction "interesting" if you get my sarcasm.... BTW: very nice photos, thanks for sharing.. Glad you had a good time.. The vette you restored looked very nice.. Good Job!! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Rich |

Somewhere in my photo collection I have a red '81 Yenko Z. IIRC, it was on display at the US30 Reunion Show in York, PA a few years back. |

I think that metal thing on the firewall is just the throttle saft bracket. Weren't they metal in 67 & 68 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif and plastic in 69 ?
BKH mentioned this some time back I think. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...reen66/048.jpg Mike Here it is Brians post and photo https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/show.../fpart/10/vc/1 Mike |

Re: Barrett Jackson Photos
Bruce- it was a pleasure to meet you too! Do you happen to have more pictures of this Cuda? I was coincidentally sitting behind the man who purchased this car. Nice English fellow with an attractive wife. Hammered down at $145k. I doubt you could build half of this car for that price. Craftsmanship, fit and finish, and customization was just perfect!
