Where it all began!

I have been a little diabled this week and decided that I would post a couple of pictures of my first Nova. I had a lot of fun with that car and created a lot of memories working on it with my family and friends. Some of those friends have become best friends and people who that I hope to grow old with.

But here she is...

[image]http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j.../Motorwork.jpg[/image]

Notice the date, seven months before I could even drive! I was 15 and it was my first car. A 1971 Nova with a rebuiklt 307 truck motor in it.

Very cool, mine was a 70 triple gold nova. It had a 307 in it, bought from original owner when I was 15. I will have to copy the pics to a disk then load them here. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

My Car earned the name "Rainbow Magic". And it's not what you think. There were so many colors on my car that I couldn't help it. This is the guy that gave it the name. [image]http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...MeandChris.jpg[/image]

The first day it was inspected and had new tires. New tires because of all the burnouts I did in the driveway!

The original color. Code 26 26. It also had the 756 interior.

PS. If anyone knows of any 1971 Nova's with this color combo forsale, please let me know.

Its like staring back at my HS years. I still have my 74 Nova Custom as well. My color was 94 Corvette blue.

Re: Where it all began!

The next picture is my most favorite because it's worth a thousand words. The day of my senior prom, and about three hours after the new trans was installed. I blew it two days before because someone hadn't checked the fluid level after it had been parked for so long. My best friend helped me until 4am to get the old one out and back in, so I could get to the prom! What a best friend.

Last but not least. The only picture of the car I have taken about 3 weeks before I sold it and bought my 6cyl 70 Nova.

Rob, it's all proof that the love for the Nova's haven't stopped! I'm gonna start my search for a 26 26 756, just like you did for the BB.
