Does anybody know if 3890679 is the correct GM Part Number for 1967 Chevelle Poverty Caps? Thanks, Ed

Yes.
That was it for the 14" wheels equipped on 1966-67 Chevy II,1967 Camaro,as well as 1967 Chevelle. ALL of em without Disc brakes. http://www.chevellecd.com/67cd/twb/photos/3890679.jpg http://www.chevellecd.com/67cd/twb/photos/3890679a.jpg |

Rick:
Thanks for the info. and pic. That's exactly the look I'm going to put on mine. It's an original paint Marina Blue 'Bu with a 327/275 HP 4-Speed bench seat car. Ed |

Re: 67 Chevelle Poverty Caps
Do you happen to know the story between the different variations of these? I have a set from a 67 SS and the center is black, with the bowtie as bare metal. Basically the opposite of your cap. I've always wondered if there was any reason or if it was just a factory supply thing.

The ribbed area is dark metallic gray. On the 67 cap the Bow Tie is blacked out with the center unpainted. The ribbed area is metallic silver. |

Rick and Ken:
Thanks for the info. I bought the NOS set on ebay. Now to sandblast and repaint the wheels and purchase a set of coker redlines. It blows my mind how much it costs to restore these things to original. To think, we used to take off the factory wheels and F70s, give away the hub caps and spend less money for mags and T/As than these hub caps cost me. Thanks again, Ed https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif |
