Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
Hi Lance,
I also have a Benchmark 435 Roadster with 17k miles, completely untouched including original tires...Marlboro Maroon/ Black, 2 tops, BG Special Collection, BG, Triple Crown, etc...never advertised but I would sell it and keep the high mileage 18k mile car posted above https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif Bottom line, I have 3 real '67 435 Roadsters, 2 are BG Benchmark survivor cars...want to keep 1 Benchmark and 1 BG restored car to drive so will sell 1 of the Benchmark cars. There are not better examples anywhere. If you want more info, drop me a line : [email protected] Regards, Colin |
Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
Lance, I owned the car Colin is talking about. Original soft top too! A true time capsule.

Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
Wally Booth got the 68 Camaro and then it went to someone in Ohio. Still missing after that...

Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
Charlie,
Nope, it was sold to a friend of Wally's who lived in Rio Grande, Ohio. I dropped it there on my way back from the Gators in 1971. Don't know where it got to after that. Lance |

Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
------This must be the week that cars that I have a connection to are mentioned on the sight. This car came thru Classic Motors in 1978/79 era. We had it on the arm from the original owner (Bill Davis). I actually raced it against the the Bondurant race car (mentioned in another thread today) in front of Classic one night and whipped it. Bullet holes wernt in it then. They came after that when he took it back. Some guys got in an arguement in the bar across the street from Bills dealership and pulled thier guns out, old west style. They missed each other but wounded the Vette.
------I have lost track of the car and weather it got fixed or not........Bill S |
Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
The former Roby price bullet car was sold to a collector several years ago. It still has the holes in it and is most definetly not for sale. Its a 7K mile red/black 435 conv. thats unresotred.

Re: 1967 Corvette 435 WANTED
-----Steve,,,Its also the fastest bone stock 435 I ever drove. At the time it was at Classic I dont think the valve-covers had ever been off. I have no idea why it was so rapid as it was power-steering equipped and had all those options dragging it down, but that thing rocked!!! I drove it to Krugoffs house one Sunday for a cook-out and Ill bet the two strips of rubber going out of his driveway are still there. Oh yah,,,original Firestones. Stretch is coming in Saturday to V/F and will be able to tell you even more hair-raising stories.......Bill S
