Aluminum finishing/anodizing

I only have a couple of aluminum pieces that go on the door frame of my ElCamino that need attention. I'm looking for suggestions on where to send them for polishing and anodizing.

I sent the upper and lower Grill sections out and had them......Stripped......Bright Dipped......and Re-Annodized......just got them back and re-applied the flat Black paint per factory......they turned out pretty good.....check out the pic's

Bill, I used Anobrite for re-anodizing) on a recommendation from Haislip and I was very happy with the results. Price was reasonable too.

Re: Aluminum finishing/anodizing

George,

Do you offer re-anodizing services for aluminum trim or do you just remove the original anodizing and then polish the piece?

Bill Rose 01-03-2009 07:15 AM

Re: Aluminum finishing/anodizing

George polished the aluminum moldings that go around the top of the doors. A couple of them were scratched pretty bad. He did a real nice job. All the scratches are gone, and they shine like new. I removed the anodizing, but he will do it if you need it done. He does not re-anodize, but when I saw the moldings polished, I couldn't think of a good reason to anodize them anyway. They look perfect. A quick hand polish a couple time each season, should be all they need. What George doesn't know (until he reads this), is that I screwed up one of the moldings putting it on the door. I have another one that will fit better, but it's got to be polished like the others.

Thanks for the kind words and compliments- especially since these are not GM parts.
I had intentions of posting these pics sooner, but life is hectic here from Thanksgiving until around the first of the year. Actually looking forward to Monday morning and getting back into the groove.

Mark, recently did all of the stainless trim for my LS6. It is the best that I have ever seen. Not only does he do quality work but his customer service is outstanding. Besides that he is a true car guy that gets it, (forgive him for his Mopar roots).
