OVERSPRAY PICS

I'm looking for pics of how the overspray looked on the floor pans and the rear wheel well and fuel tank area for a 1969 z/28 camaro? Any past posts I can look at?

Here are some of a Hugger Norwood car I did. And one shot of a Nova for grins, the Nove shot shows the undercoating detail pretty well.

If you are doing the overspray thing to the floorpans, the floor plugs should be in place for the final body color, I forgot that on this car.
Also do not try and do the OS with base clear, have a pint of Single stage mixed up and use that.

Re: OVERSPRAY PICS

I think Mike would agree that there is no absolute correct amount of overspray. Some have lots, some have only a little. Those are the cars that usually didn't have much on the bottoms of the rockers either. They were sprayed by guys on the line who only had interest in one car. The last one on friday at quitten time. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Hi Ken
Yup, every one was different. And it is hard to capture in a restoration just how sloppy these cars could be.
I will be the first to admit that the cars I have done are nicely "overestored".
The overspray detail is, at best, a interpretation of what was there at build.
Here are a few shots of that same car during the first clean up.

Schonye, You and Mike are making these novas happen. The little grocery getter is finally getting some respect from the musclecar families. My nova shows some real nice overspray on the bottom floors and frame rails. No undercoating helps. Keep the pictures and info coming. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Nice. I think adding the overspray is so cool. Real nice detail feature that makes a car that much better. Mines not a Camaro but I did redo the overspray...

Thanks for the pics https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif Mike my car is a Hugger Orange Car Also. I've owned the Car for 22 years. I first Painted the Car Back in 87. It's Been Garnet Red since then with Black Stripes. The car has It's original Drivetrain. I recently took the car to my Friends Shop. I was Just Going to repaint the lower fenders.(rock chips) Because the Paint still looks great. Well one thing led to another now the car is On the Rotiseree. I've decided to put the car back to the original color code 72. The Car is a late built car September 69 09C 711 72 X77 D80.
