Tommy Nolen's Early Muscle Cars

As discussed in another thread, here are photos of my 61 Early Muscle Car collection - 2 Impala SS's, a Ford Starliner and a Pontiac Ventura. I have attached a photo of each car and its motor.

Mike,
The car is a Sr. Grand National and was a AACA National Award winner in 2000.
The blue car goes to it's first AACA meet next weekend.

To give you an idea of the scope of work Tommy does on his own cars, here's a pic of the blue SS in "mid" restoration. That's his shop, not a restoration shop.

Beautiful cars, Tommy. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif Thanks for posting the pics. I had two Fawn Beige '61s years ago and really enjoyed those cars. To have two bonified '61 SS cars... wow that is just awesome. Congratulations.

Gorgeous vehicles, all https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Was the Poncho at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale this year or last? Seems to me I saw one that color there https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

Looks like 1961 was a very good year for most big cars.

Re: Tommy Nolen's Early Muscle Cars

Bill,
No, the Pontiac wasn't at Barrett-Jackson. I just purchased the car from a gentleman from Minn., actually, I think the car was listed for sale on this site in the early summer. Verne told me about the car then it was listed on Ebay in early July. I was the high bidder but didn't break the reserve, after the auction was over the owner and I reached and agreement and I became the new owner.
