Since we are not having a formal banquet this year anyone have any ideas for food in addition to the snacks that will be in the display area?

Plenty of choices in the area from White Castle to Porter's at the HI, and most are within walking distance.

My Son and I look forward to the banquet--going to Miss it--but if a bunch of us could get together for dinner or a cook out that would be Great!!

Although the Cookout idea sounds great (and I even thought about a 'Gourmet Burger' Competition https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif), I'm wondering now about the time constraints. Getting back from the track, unloading, getting in line and actually into the building takes a lot of time and work from the 'Logistics Team'. Quite honestly, we may be pushing the 7:30 Reopening time (judging from past experience).

Phil's idea of the Pizza Run, Brian's Sliders, or something along those lines may actually be our best bet. I for one volunteer to unhook my trailer and make a run or two if we decide on places that don't deliver.

Thoughts anyone?

I am sure the local Pizza Joint will deliver pizza's if we get the order in early enough. $10.00 a person would take care of it I am sure.

It's on my schedule and unless something happens between now and then, you all will be seeing my smiling face. The wife drove a hard bargin but in the end, I got what I wanted so it's all good. Now I just have to find a way to tell her about a '69 Z28 that has been parked in a garage since 1987 that I am taking a very hard look at. I have known this car since 1978. If I can get the numbers to work, I'm going to wait til after SCR 11 to bring it up. It's a buddy of mines car that I have known since 5th grade. He's the second owner. I have been talking to him about this for 6 years. I forwarded him a link to the "barn find" 7848 mile Oregon Z28 and the next thing I know he's telling me he's thinking about selling and would I be interested. I quit asking him about his 2 years ago so this was some what of a surprise to me. Hopefully it will work out and I can get this one. We'll see. Kinda wierd though, this car was parked when Reagan was still in office. Hasn't seen the light of day since.
