Vintage Supplier/Misc Advertisements
1 Attachment(s)
I have been adding advertisement threads to forums, Ford, Mopar, Olds, Motion. The hope is our members will post vintage advertisements. I am making the thread a sticky so it stays at the top and easy to find. Some of the ads from back in the day are quite hilarious, and provocative!
Lynn is one of our esteemed members and most likely the only on the site that owns a Buick /Opel. I was going to post this ad in the Buick forum but felt this may be a better location. Just teasing Lynn a bit :naughty: |
Hi, I have a silver '71 Opel GT so thanks for the post.
Merry Christmas |
Opel GT's are cool! :headbang:
|
I've always liked 'em!

All I see is a high performance blonde... or is that high maintenance ..
Those GT's are cool cars, but they all turned to dust within 10 years around here from the salt. |
Advertisement Stick Threads
Lee Stewart, I moved your Camaro advertisement pics to the Chevrolet Forum. The goal is to place any new advertisement in the appropriate forum. Sorry for the confusion. I placed the Opel in the Lounge forum because although kool it doesn't fit in a specific make forum. Also, my intent was to notify members of the new feature.

this has been my favorite ad ever. i tore this out of a magazine back in 1970 and put on my wall by my bed. i used to lay in bed and dream of getting one of these when i turned 16. i have had it hanging on a wall ever since.

You got that right. I was very lucky to find a local car that was removed from service after only 3 years on the road and stored indoors since. The only rust I had to repair was on the belly pan, right under where the battery used to reside. |
And I am digging all the vintage ads Steve.

The car in this photo says 1966 GTO because of the stainless rocker moldings and the stainless wheel opening molding.
I have no idea what that wheel is? |

I just picked up an inexpensive December ‘67 Hot Rod at an antique store nearby. Besides being a big issue, was pleasantly surprised to find the Christmas advertising insert from STP intact with the free decals and coupon for STP fashionwear:).
