how many cars are enough?

it has been interesting to follow the thread dealing with the original owner yenko nova. the owners seemed to me to be very happy over the years with " their baby". i wonder do we get distracted by too much of a good thing? is our enjoyment of the hobby diluted or out of balance when our time is spent wondering how much we will make on the next car we turn over for a profit, instead of driving and enjoying the sweet pleasure of going back for a moment in time? " a moment in time when muscle cars ruled and life seemed more simple? how many cars are enough? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

how many cars are enough?

That is wife's favorite question. I never can seem to come up with an adequate response. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Did you see Don Fezells' collection featured in the March 06 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines?
I've never met the man,but he sounds like a real true enthusiast with interests in so many different things. Now that's a collection I would like to have.
Proof you can never have enough!

I've thought about that many times. I think about the particular cars I'd love to own and then I realize if I actually had them I would never be able to enjoy them all. So I just try to enjoy the 1 or 2 cars I have. It's a shame that the prices have gone through the roof taking the hobby out of reach for a lot of people, but then housing prices have done the same thing. I applaud the people that can put together these impressive collections for others to enjoy. Just think, 30 years from now there will be a group of people sitting around staring at a collection of Accuras, Toyotas and Mitsubishis thinking the same thing. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

One is more than enough for me, and I can barely afford that the way prices are going anymore. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Boy have I heard that so many times. It doesn't matter how big you build them they are never big enough!

I have always advised anyone building something that whatever they are planning to double it or they will wish they had just as soon as it is built. The funny thing about walking around the outline of a planned building. it will seem so huge when you are walking it out. But when you get a few shelves and work tables and a car or two in there, then it will be small real quick. Having enough space to open a door while you work on a car can take up room so fast.

I know that I want to build one 150 x 60 and I am sure that I will find it full in just a few years.
