Survivor/take off '67 Z28/SS350 Valve Covers
For sale here is an absolutely beautiful pair of very early take off survivor '67 Z28 and SS350 valve covers. Stunning original flash chrome, no dents, very minor if any topical rust that with minimal effort would polish out. Very hard to find in this original condition... These covers do have the "0" stamped in the base!
Perfect edition to either a #1 survivor or #1 show car. Looking for $325.00 OBO shipped. Thanks, Dan [email protected] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps90a434ca.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psedfbbc62.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psea2ef781.jpg |

Hi Tim, thanks for the post.
Just to clarify - big thanks to Eddie M. These are '67 only valve covers! Regards, Dan |

Can you post a photo of the ends of your valve covers similar to the shot below? The '67 valve covers ends lay back more than the earlier '60s Chevrolet script valve covers. It seems like what you have are the earlier '60s valve covers but maybe it's just the angle of your photos. Thanks.

Hi John, I don't fully understand what to look for but below is a pic.

Re: Survivor/take off '67/'68 Z28/SS350 Valve Covers
It does appear that you have the '67 valve covers. The ends of the valve covers are laid back more at the top whereas the earlier '60s valve covers are basically straight up and down at the ends.

Awesome, thanks John. Am I very far off on value? I just thought given the survivor aspect, they would be very hard to find... Thanks, Dan |
Re: Survivor/take off '67/'68 Z28/SS350 Valve Covers
They have come out with reproductions of these for under $200 which I've heard are pretty accurate, including the O stamp. I've never seen any in person though. I think the reproductions have eaten into the value of the originals somewhat but there is always a market for nice original examples.

Re: Survivor/take off '67/'68 Z28/SS350 Valve Covers
My opinion, $325 is spot on for a near perfect set of original flash chromed covers. I've gotten more for not as nice in the past 2 years. If people are using reproductions, they obviously aren't building an original car.

In light of all of the above, what would a NOS in the box pair of these V covers go for.? Might have some
