Mercury does have one great distinction that probably very few remember. In 1958, they created the very first engine to produce 400 HP - The Mercury Super Marauder 430ci with 3x2. |

Approximately 76% of the Z/28s were built in the last 5 production months of the year (March 1968 through July 1968). Early production 1968 Z/28s were very rare. Buick made 2,140 1967 GS 400 convertibles. 422 had a 4 speed and 9 had the standard 3 speed manual. The rest (1628) had the auto. |
