Camp Century was built underneath the surface of the Greenland Ice Sheet in 1959 by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project was designed to create a network of mobile nuclear missile launch sites in Greenland, almost an entire underground city, with bars, theaters and other buildings. Camp Century, Greenland was an American Cold War era under-ice base designed for research and development. It hosted the first nuclear reactor used for energy production and part of the Army Nuclear Power Program. https://i.postimg.cc/HxKFdJgz/6a.jpg One of the highlights was the use of the R.G. LETOURNEAU Overland Train to bring in supplies. |

It appears the rings are left off and the wheel is polished, which I like better.

Wangers did three of these cars in that paint scheme (that I know of): a silverleaf green car, a white one for Jesse, and our car in Nocturne blue.
We think maybe he was building the blue car as his own driver and Jesse sold it out from under him to dad. Jesse had a habit of doing that, apparently. K http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...5.jpg~original http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...6.jpg~original |
----Keith,,,I seem to remember that someone is making 15 inch 8-lug wheels. Can't remember who or when I (may) have heard this. Do you know?....Bill S

On August 8, 1969 on a street in north-west London and almost directly outside a celebrated recording studio, one of the most famous ever album covers was shot. Photographer Iain MacMillan took the image that would adorn the cover of the brilliant new record named after the street where he stood,Abbey Road.
The first photo taken,by Linda McCartney shows the moment when Paul leaves his slippers on the wall next to George. Then Paul walks the Abbey Road zebra crossing barefoot. |
