Camp Century was built underneath the surface of the Greenland Ice Sheet in 1959 by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project was designed to create a network of mobile nuclear missile launch sites in Greenland, almost an entire underground city, with bars, theaters and other buildings.

Camp Century, Greenland was an American Cold War era under-ice base designed for research and development. It hosted the first nuclear reactor used for energy production and part of the Army Nuclear Power Program.

One of the highlights was the use of the R.G. LETOURNEAU Overland Train to bring in supplies.

Now THERE are some good looking and handling tires. I put those on my '66 about 10 years ago and was so impressed with the traction, I went to buy a set for my Camaro a year later and they had been discontinued... WTH ??!!

I'm not much of a second gen fan, but I'd drive that loud and proud car... I really like bright Yellow and that one just jumps off the page at me.

It appears the rings are left off and the wheel is polished, which I like better.

You may be right. The rears seem a little wide, too, so perhaps they went to a 15" set up.

Wangers did three of these cars in that paint scheme (that I know of): a silverleaf green car, a white one for Jesse, and our car in Nocturne blue.

We think maybe he was building the blue car as his own driver and Jesse sold it out from under him to dad. Jesse had a habit of doing that, apparently.
