So much to be learned from this pic!

No kidding, never seen that much orange paint on the entire exhaust manifold.

Especially to all the naysayers who said this was never done.

This is a very early photo of a 1960 Corvair. See the 3 vertical slots below the bumper. Those are known as 'horn slots' Pnly about the first 350 cars had those. I believe only 1 or 2 have been found. Just more worthless information.

That’s what we get from the assembly line photos of yesteryear, priceless.

I would have guessed "early" just because the assembly equipment is nice and new looking.

It doesn't take long for the machinery to look pretty scrappy.

I have had guys tell me my upper ball joints should be black because they were installed before the control arm was painted.

They were painted as an assm & then the ball joint was installed. I believe they were dipped. That wouldn't have been any good for the ball joint or the paint for the next jobs :) ....Joe
