My powder coater does a lot of the same as in this article.....just as he does the front rotors....I have him do the same with the rear drums.....again this is more for the driver car....but I have also used the same procedure with judged cars....no point deductions. I like to eliminate the possibility for any and all rust ever returning. Not an easy task. This article is 100% correct it is ALL IN THE PREP WORK! Dan </div></div> I have printed out all the pages (And all the pics from the green Chevelle) so I have some reference as I pick a powder coater. Ryan |

YOU WILL FIND THE RIGHT Powder Coater.....and have a beautiful original frame. Dan |

Dad picked up a tow bar and lights, and a couple carts to move items around.
Early before work I will measure up to make brackets to mount to the frame. Not far, I will follow along. Probably 20 minute drive going real slow.

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
If you are using the same truck you came to MCACN, If possible.....reverse your trailer hitch receiver.....you want the ball as low as you can get it.....with your frame being much lower. Hope it works.

Dan </div></div> Good point, we have an offset receiver, will use it to lower the ball. Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Tow bar was a bust:-(
The wheels of the chassis would turn full left or full right but did not want to follow the truck!!! Dad is as stubborn as I am........ (Tenacious) so he pulled all the caster shims out of one side of the upper control arms and stuck them in the other side to exaggerate the following effect.... Nope. Then two of us stood on the front end and he used Rachel araps to pull the suspension lower closer to ride height.... No joy..... Pushed it back inside and waved the white flag for tonight! Ryan I am open to information, Google hasn't offered me any wisdom yet.... |
