And that's what makes the world go 'round.

Northern 1/3rd of MN had a hard freeze, 27 degrees, 2 weeks ago and now they are in the 70's again. Our average day time highs are said to be 67 degrees. Yesterday was my wife's birthday and she loves riding on the bike, so we took the Harley for ice cream and ended up riding for 90 miles in 85 degree weather. The overnight low last night was 64 degrees. Definitely been a hot summer.

Nice resto though other than the stripe at the Left front fender. |
More animals with super powers https://images2.imgbox.com/85/13/yIb7473r_o.jpg Basilisk Lizards actually run across water. They vigorously pump their legs when running on water, slapping their feet forcefully against the ground. This creates tiny pockets of air that keep them floating. Basilisk lizards are capable of running many meters on water. But eventually, gravity will win out, after which they have to rely on their swimming abilities. |

Meet the Cardinal Fish. They live in the deep, below 1000 meters. Their diet includes bioluminescent plankton. They store this and use it to escape predators. When threatened, they regurgitate and this creates flashes of blue light which usually scares away the predators or gives them time to retreat. |

No creature on Earth can shoot laser beams from their eyes but the Horned Lizard can shoot a substance from its eyes: blood. This is very helpful when coyotes and dingos are it main predator. It will allow the Dingo to get close then hit it with a blood spray that is a natural canine deterrent that scares them off. |

The Electric Eel isn't an eel at all. It's part of the knife fish family. Only 20% of it's body is used to survive. The other 80% - to generate electricity. How much? A shock up to 1 ampere of electrical current and 860 watts for two milliseconds. More than enough to stun/kill a fish for dinner. The electric eel is only one of about 500 species of fish capable of delivering an electric shock: Catfish, Rays and other Knife Fish. |

Camoflague is a great super power. Hide in plain sight and the Leaf Insect excels at it. Being an insect in the jungles of Southeast Asia and Australia can be dangerous to one's health. But if you can't be seen, you can't be eaten. |

How about super speed? The Peregrine Falcon has been clocked using radar guns at over 240 MPH in their dives. They are the fastest creature on Earth. Coupled with fantastic eyesight, they fly up and scan below. Once prey has been spotted, they tuck their wings tight against their body and zoom down at this incredible rate of speed. |

Super Strength! Not the ability to lift, the ability not to be crushed. Ironclad Beetles are so strong not only can you step on one without crushing it. You can run a car over it and it will just walk away. It can support around 39,000 times its weight. |
