The aircraft carrier is the USS Independence. Unknow which sailing ship is alongside it.

It appears to be the Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian naval training ship when it was here in 1976.

Just found this verification...
While sailing the Mediterranean Sea in 1962, the American aircraft carrier USS Independence flashed the Amerigo Vespucci with the light signal asking: "Who are you?" The full-rigged ship answered: "Training ship Amerigo Vespucci, Italian Navy." The Independence replied: "You are the most beautiful ship in the world."

1 of 10 1969 Hemi Coronet R/T convertibles. Wrong wheels. Should have hubcaps as Chrysler didn't have a 15" wheel option for 1969 as the Recall Wheels ended that.

That '69 Corvette with the PO2 wheel covers and whitewall tires looks great.

Oops. I was so mesmerized by the PO2's, I didn't notice the year.

I am sorry to hear that; I was just reading about this Sopwith Camel crash from last Sunday:

https://www.wcvb.com/article/plane-c...ICID=ref_fark#

Lost power mid flight, made the runway but the landing gear collapsed when he hit the tarmac, causing it to flip over.

Fortunately no one was injured, but it was a pretty authentic flying experience.

You can call it a 1964 1/2 Mustang but all were registered as 1965 Mustangs.

MSRA Back to the Fifties is limited to 1964 as the newest year allowed in. The registration form specifies, in big letters, NO MUSTANGS...

You've probably heard the phrase "Drink the Kool-Aid," which comes from the 1978 Jonestown Massacre, in which 909 members of Jim Jones' cult drank cyanide-laced Kool-Aid to commit mass suicide at his command. Except...it wasn't Kool-Aid. It was Flavor-Aid.
