Strange I can find no photos of this concept car in the Ford archives: 1966 Ford Magic Cruiser |
The Bearcat is a nice looking car other than the exhaust pipes coming out between the tail lights.
But, even if they had taken it to production, the 70s bumper laws would have pretty much bastardized it to death. |

Don't care for them on that car either. But at least it isn't taking up otherwise usable trunk space like it would be on the Bearcat.

Yes, I know it's Summer. But Winter is only a few months away. This neat little tool gets rid of ice on auto windows effortlessly. Runs about $70 https://www.kaercher.com/us/home-gar...-15989030.html |

This 1969 Boss 429 prototype has the exhaust tips a valance from the Mach 1 which didn't make it into production. |

Drawing by famed industrial designer and neo-futurist concept artist, Syd Mead In 1959, Mead was recruited to Ford Motor Company's Advanced Styling Studio by Elwood Engel. From 1960 to 1961, Mead worked in Ford Motor Company Styling in Detroit, Michigan. Mead left Ford after two years to illustrate books and catalogues for companies including United States Steel, Celanese, Allis-Chalmers and Atlas Cement. See next post for . . . The rest of the story. |

https://images2.imgbox.com/00/38/15MDPwf1_o.jpg Syd Mead also did a stint in Hollywood working on Sci-Fi movies as a concept artist. Here are two from BLADE RUNNER: Harrison Fords kitchen and a street scene. |

He also worked on TRON designing the famous Light Cycles. |

A 1962 Ferrari GTO will be coming up for auction. The expected sale price is $60 million. The only factory-owned Series I GTO raced by the Scuderia Ferrari team, the car in question is one of just 34 models produced. |

I have read that anywhere between 32 and 39 were built, depending on the semantics:

Some cool semantics in this "330 LM" - Pontiac will suffice for now, though!

https://images2.imgbox.com/e8/a8/fiPgyq5l_o.jpg This twisted hunk of metal that used to be a Ferrari just sold for nearly $2 million. One of only 13 made, this 1954 Ferrari Mondial Spider Series I wasn’t one of Ferrari’s fabled V12 models but an entirely different design. The four-cylinder car was designed for driving on twisting tracks with lots of curves and few straightaways, where a smaller, lighter engine was desirable. This is what the car looked like before it crashed and burned: https://images2.imgbox.com/61/61/HPv6084x_o.jpg |
