That would be Washington Island, a peaceful step back in time. On our trip there the waves soaked all the cars on the ferry deck while rocking the boat.

I know what you're thinking . . . what is it?

It's a 1974 Brazilian Charger R/T. Comes with a 318 with 200HP. It's basically a modified (by Chrysler) 1969 Dart.

We were up there during Covid since I didn't have to run the Texas Regional that year. It was spectacular. I saw this young girl throwing leaves in the air. Seriously, Mary had never seen a Midwest fall since she's grew up in Houston and went to UT. She loved it

If I remember the story correctly and that's a big if, originally Buick wanted the 87 GNX to be different then it's Grand National cousins. So instead of black, white was looked at. But it was rejected and black remained the color.

Someone decided to build one in white. Risky, IMO, as who would want it?

The 1958 Ford Nucleon.

In 1957 the US built its first nuclear powered electricity generating plant. 3 years prior (1954) the US Navy launched the USS Nautilus. The worlds first nuclear powered submarine.

So Nuclear as a fuel was brand new. Prior to 54 it was only used in weapons of mass destruction: Hydrogen Bombs.

Ford envisioned a future where gas stations would be replaced with full service recharging stations, and that the vehicle would get 5,000 miles (8,000 km) before the reactor would have to be exchanged for a new one. These would be scaled-down versions of the nuclear reactors that military submarines used at the time, utilizing uranium as the fissile material. Because the entire reactor would be replaced, Ford hypothesized that the owner would have multiple choices for reactors, such as a fuel-efficient model or a high-performance model, at each reactor change. Ultimately, the reactor would use heat to convert water into steam and the power train would be steam-driven

In a rare move, Ford also created the concept as a convertible:
