Now that I am a little more organized I can start a list of what I need.
#1: Battery...what looks correct and cranks in the hottest and coldest days? Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
The stamp on the ring gear looks like:
12A 41 GM. C. 200 1 The car was built 03B March (second week), does the 12A represent December (first week)? 41 would make sense if it represents the # of teeth? GM General Motors 200? 1? Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe

That smell does not come out of cloths no mater how many time you wash them. I've thrown a few coats and shirts out because of this.

Make certain you add posi additive to your new gear oil.
Dan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I went to the local auto parts store to get gear oil and posi additive, I asked which is best, the guy showed me the cheapest stuff available.
What oil and additive do you recommend? Also need to know what oil to put in the Muncie? Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe

Sounds like great fun. By then I will have a decent list assembled. Ryan I would like to know what battery to buy, I don't have one and would like to check the electrical system. I want one that looks stock but has lots of juice! |

Checked out the wheels and tires tonight.....boring!!
Looks like three green wheel, with the same stamp close to the valve stem. 27 IR and M 9? 4 BFGoodrich Lifesaver BLEMs, made in Canada. And one Goodyear........ https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2590-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2591-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2592-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2593-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2594-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2595-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2596-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2597-image.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2598-image.jpg |

Can you pull back on the Goodyear and tell me what size it is? What wheel covers came with the car?

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I want to get the brakes working before MCACN so I took the wheels and drums off, someone has recently done the back brakes:-) probably able to use most everything and clean them up and get them functional. Only changed on wheel cylinder.

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
I looked in my Product Information Manual and F70-14 Goodyear whitelines are not listed as as a available tire on your car. It's just a guide not written in stone.
