Not bad for the first race. I give you credit for trying to steer that car with that kiddie car steering wheel. Get rid of that bog also. Keep up the good work. Khwizz is sending some sponsor money I hear.

Update on the car. We installed the cal-traks bars and the split mono-leaf springs. Yesterday, we did a test and tune day. We did four time shots, trying different things. My last shot was a 10;54 at 129.64. And this track is almost a factored track, being at a high elevation. The Dutchman [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif[/img]

sounds real good Benny! especially at that track. To see if those new bars really work the car needs a converter OR a gear changer. Leaving the line at 7,500 rpm's will tell the tail. Then we will be reading the breaking news: The B/MP national record falls to the Flying Dutchman from the mountains of Pa. at 10.46 at 131.00 in his 1970 nova. Its 1971 all over again! YEAAA!

Nice! Mph is still around the same but the times dropped. What was your 60ft?

I can;t run the rpm;s up any higher on the line. The converter starts to lock up. So I have to keep the rpm;s around 1,600. My 60 ft was 1.53 on sunday. But the track was not preped good, because some guys said they where spinning off the line, way to much. Big race this weekend, same track! The Dutchman

I think you'll be ok on the breakage coming off the line by foot at 1600. It' when you start coming off the chip on the trans brake at 5k that thinks start to go South.

Appears she's pullin hard on the big end.

Update! The Dutchman went to the second round, but broke out. 10.59 dial to 10.54 and he pedaled it at the end. The car was moving considering the track conditions and temp.

Results from Atco, I got treed the first round. The weather was hot 95 degrees. I dailed a 10;56 ran a 10;58 129;00 MPH. I want to THANK the guys from the site, that came out to see me race! I hope to have a video for the rest of you guys up soon. The Dutchman.
