Rob,
I'm kinda slow so it took me a minute to figure out what the heck you were talking about.....somebody should smack me upside the head with a shovel now and then.....I just figured out we are talking about burying a car!

Re: Dick Harrell Nova???

Well, the word I got is that this Nova WAS the Gibb race car prepared by Harrell with a 427, and that Ed did buy it.

Sweet find !!! But how in the world can it already be the racecar prepared by Harrell ? Is there anything to document that ? Is this information available about the Harrell cars ?

Re: Dick Harrell Nova???

Kim, Matt, I dont know for Gospel, just going by info from a very solid reliable source that was part of this whole thing back then, as for it going to OK, if the lady says thats where it went then I would take that as Gospel, but we all know how things move around as years pass. Also might want to check out the other Wanna Be Board, some fellas over there are also rather certain of the history, I happen to know for sure Dan is a very knowledgeable guy, and despite a lack of personality another dedicated gear head over there has, he does have a vast amount of knowledge and connections, that combined with what you might call an inside source all seem to be on the same page. Does that make it fact? Heck no, but there has to be some substance to that opinion for so many people who use wrenches for silverware to feel that strongly about it. But, that is the beauty of this board, before this discussion is over I am sure we will all know the correct answer. As for the personal feelings of the other crew towards the buyer, on that I have to disagree totally, he was researching this stuff long before anyone thought about it or even cared. There has to be a benefit to all those years of work, the benefit being you know what the heck you are looking at before you buy. After spending twenty years doing research is he just supposed to give all that info away that he spent years putting together? I think not, that reminds me of the rich neighbor kid who came to my sandbox and thought he was going to take my new Tonka after I mowed lawns to get it, his reason was he didnt have it so it should automatically be his. And here's to the buyer if he makes money in the process, I didnt know the hobby had a group that was a non profit organization. I guess to understand the analogys here the misguided opinions of others have to be read, but hey, as we all have a right to buy, sell, or do whatever with our cars and money, others have a right to their opinions also, as I do. Congrats Ed, you sneaky dog you, I wonder how many other hounds were nipping at your heels to grab the same chunk of meat. Cant blame em for snarling and growling a bit for missing out on that choice cut...,................................... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

It's funny , When I first saw this car on e-bay I thought I would get some input about this car so I posted it on this forum. I thought I would have a chance to bid on it and maybe get a chance on buying a rare car. The truth is that there is a small group of very knowledgable people who will always get these cars. With knowledge is power. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

I take exception to that. The CRG is a non-profit. A lot of work and time goes into the info on our site, all to the benefit of the hobby.
