These photos are from Thursday, maybe the last I can post for two weeks, as I am going off grid until Mar 6.
Mark removed a piece of damaged QP section, re formed it and welded it back in.

Ok folks I am back. It’s been almost two and 1/2 years since I posted on this car. I got it back from Mark Nicoll in May 2024. I was in the process of restoring my 442 W30 so the Camaro got parked in a corner. Re assembly started last week. Here are some catch up photos.

Underneath the all original floor pan got fogged in to cover the tunnel repairs.

Up top the finished tunnel. The original had been badly hacked for a ratchet type shifter.

The area around the shifter opening is a new metal piece. Other than that you see all original rust free Oregon sheet metal.

Wow, does that look familiar. Is he using SPI 2k epoxy primer/sealer ? The color, sheen and texture look just like my '67.
Nice work being done there...

My car was a Van Nuys build and had different paint applications from Norwood cars. Particularly in the area of how the cowls were painted for the stripes.
Based on what I could find the cowls were masked off and the stripe Color paint was applied.
The cars Main Color was already applied. As we have all noticed there was body Color over the edge of the firewall. Having looked at many Camaros at Vintage certification it appeared as if the firewall paint was applied rom the bottom up towards the top of the cowl leaving an uneven line over the body Color. Check out the photos.
