I know Steve Offered, but I will too... Sell it to me I will clean and preserve it and sell it back to you...
The interior in that car could look brand new. It takes so many hours of light circular brush work with the right cleaners to get the grain clean, no amount of rubbing or heavy brushing will do it. The bristles need to be fairly fine, short so they wont roll over, and varied in height which allows the shorter bristles to ride on the top of the grain while the longer ones penetrate into the grain, the key is that the lighter your pressure the better it works. A cheapo motorized toothbrush which oscillates works great, AGAIN THE KEY IS LIGHT PRESSURE. If the car is a typical original interior in nice serviceable vehicle I check a spot or two on the seats and then the tops of the door panels using a toothbrush a CLEAN white rag and Spray Away NON AMMONIA window cleaner which I buy in 3 or 4 packs at Sams. Just a spot or two will tell you if the interior is clean, spray the window cleaner into the brush then brush lightly in a small (2-4" diam) circle for a min or two and wipe with the white rag. |

What an absolutely beautiful car.
You know, that new Preservation forum isn't getting much attention. Maybe a move is in order??? After all, this car isn't JUST another Chevrolet.... Verne |
