Old thread but if you’re still on the case Ryan, here’s an 02/69 Denooyer Chevrolet Ad for a ‘69 ‘Velle L78 w/ Aluminum Heads noted that may be the subject ‘Jenks’ L89?:hmmm: I lost track whether your friend bought it new or used at Denooyer but w/ few L89’s built, it’s likely the same car.:dunno: :beers: ~ Pete . |
Guy pictured in the ad appears better suited to selling British sports cars in the 50's than American muscle cars in the late 60's :haha:

Same Sport-Nik oddball in their Ads for a few years but Denooyer was certainly into Performance! Where’s that thread from a few months back w/ another Denooyer ‘Velle…’69 L78 Post?:hmmm: :beers: ~ Pete . |
Wow Pete you found a jackpot here!!
I really think that add was for the Jenks. They bought it in Speing of 1970 so they were the second owner, not sure who was the first owner…. I know of a 325, or 350 HP 1969 300 Deluxe SS396 but not a 375 HP Ryan W31 |

Here’s the other Denooyer car, an L35 4-Spd. FG ‘69 Post car chevyman0429 posted last month… https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=174986 :beers: ~ Pete . |

Seeing this thread again made me think of the PGN Barn Find 69 Chevelle SS396, DY, L89, 4 speed and it was in Ohio. I just dug it up online and watched part of it but it seems that car was originally purchased in the fall of 68 so probably not 'The Jenks'.
