I met up with one of the Hinton's at US131 in June, and they have not found any VIN info yet:-(

Old thread but if you’re still on the case Ryan, here’s an 02/69 Denooyer Chevrolet Ad for a ‘69 ‘Velle L78 w/ Aluminum Heads noted that may be the subject ‘Jenks’ L89?:hmmm:
I lost track whether your friend bought it new or used at Denooyer but w/ few L89’s built, it’s likely the same car.:dunno:

Guy pictured in the ad appears better suited to selling British sports cars in the 50's than American muscle cars in the late 60's :haha:

Same Sport-Nik oddball in their Ads for a few years but Denooyer was certainly into Performance!
Where’s that thread from a few months back w/ another Denooyer ‘Velle…’69 L78 Post?:hmmm:

Wow Pete you found a jackpot here!!

I really think that add was for the Jenks. They bought it in Speing of 1970 so they were the second owner, not sure who was the first owner….

I know of a 325, or 350 HP 1969 300 Deluxe SS396 but not a 375 HP

I forgot this one was from Denooyer, I sent a note to the original owner of the LeMans Blue Denooyer 300 SS396 to see if he remembers Mike’s Fathom Green Denooyer 300 SS396 :-)

Seeing this thread again made me think of the PGN Barn Find 69 Chevelle SS396, DY, L89, 4 speed and it was in Ohio. I just dug it up online and watched part of it but it seems that car was originally purchased in the fall of 68 so probably not 'The Jenks'.
