Re: Project: Hot rodding a 69 Nova
After getting home from the GM Nationals/Solid Lifter Showroom, I jumped right back in. I stuck the chassis back on the Nova. I also put all the brake and fuel lines on, that I picked up at the show.
I also got the sound deadener in. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps0c18daff.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps19830603.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...psb5642176.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...psf54ca413.jpg I also picked these up from Paul in the Solid Lifter Showroom over the weekend. I blasted and primed them. Still deciding on a color, but yellow is probably the #1 choice. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps7fb141d8.jpg |

Looking good. You've got great taste Bill, so whatever you choose will seem natural and correct.

Re: Project: Hot rodding a 69 Nova
Lots of progress since getting back from the Maryland Chevelle Show. Got the exhaust manifolds back from alum skinning. I'll paint them tonight, and put them on the motor.
I also picked up a shinny new stainless steel gas tank at the show. It's a very nice piece from Ground-Up. It fit like the original. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps169559bf.jpg Picked up the rear leaf springs at the Md show, disassembled, stripped and sanded, then painted and reassembled them, and bolted them to the rear. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...pscbede862.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps6c348f24.jpg Got the rear installed. It fought me a bit, but it all fell into place. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps37eb7e28.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps22921328.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps8d96a94f.jpg http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps9a16fe9f.jpg I just painted the manifolds, so I added a picture of them. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps857cb06c.jpg I also started bolting parts on the firewall, like all the new power brake parts, and w/s motor. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps2d00e96f.jpg Anyone who may know, I'm looking for a pic of the bracket that holds the front to rear brake line, to the hose. I'm not sure what it looks like, or where it goes. http://i533.photobucket.com/albums/e...psd21fb694.jpg |
