I sobbed for a while watching the videos and photos. It hit me hard. The sounds in the video, just thinking about it, the tears develop immediately.

Terry and Len both retired from us within the last year or two (B17 pilots), Craig (P63 pilot) 777 Captain at another airline (my good friend’s friend). It’s just so tragic and a loss of words.

I felt empty watching it. Like any other tragic event, it’s best to not forget but not watch it over and over.

So sad.

Last pair of wings they earned were handed out by the angels.

Hug your loved ones, never forget how much friendship means, and above all, stay positive and welcoming throughout life.

Cheers to life,

Dave

Amen Dave. This accident is still hard to digest on so many levels... but, it happened. None of these guys started their day thinking it could end this way. RIP Gentlemen.

So much for retiring. Looks like my brother may have talked me and my company into helping finish the restoration of this extremely rare B25C once owned by Howard Hughes. It will be the second Hughes airplane I have had my hands on in the last year. The other being the B23. This one will be a long term project for me flying to and from Chino California for several weeks at a time over the next year. I will get to bill my time through my company as a sub contractor so even better. Should be a fun venture and will keep Annie happy during my 'retirement'. Lol

Fantastic, Rick!:worship::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Can’t wait to retire too! Someday. But right now, too much stuff to do:shocked:

Cheers
Dave

No sir. Tony and Carl own Aero Traders but not this airplane. This B25C is owned by Fred P.

How about some virtual aircraft?

I've been dabbling in a combat flight sim called DCS(Digital Combat Simulator) World. It's extremely realistic and has beautiful visuals at max graphical settings. I'm not a real life pilot so it took me a while to learn to fly in game. I was instantly hooked though. The investment has been pretty steep as you need a pretty high end PC to run this thing. Not to mention a good stick, throttle and rudder setup.

It took me about 2 months of practice to be able to land the F-14 on a carrier.

Some screenshots of me flying.
