Ryan,

What a cool project. I think it is great that 3 generations of your family are working on it together. The memories will last a lifetime.

Looking forward to future updates and progress.

Well done Ryan......a good nights work. WHAT NO PICS OF Jamie Wrenching

IT IS TYPICAL FOR THE FRAMES TO BE MORE RUSTY TOWARD THE REAR.

Yes, the a-body frames (depending on what GM type) either had 2 or 4 rubber isolator frame pads.....no through bolts.

MAKING PROGRESS.....LOOKING FORWARD TO SATURDAY

Jamie was committed elsewhere so just Dad and I, we didn't have our photographer:-(

Sunday this week (busy time of year) I hope to have the body free from the frame with a 2 X 4 in between at each corner so we can make sure nothing is still connected......Dad is building a rolling cart to hold the body so we can put it as far in the corner as possible.

Next Saturday we hope to get the body on the cart......

Impressive amount of work in such a short time make sure you document and photograph as much as you can.

Sorry bumpers will have beautiful brackets and bolts and shine will have to be round two:-)

Disassembly is easy........ Any joker can take a car apart:-)

We are buying baggies, labels, and sharpies daily:-)

Stay tuned as I prove to myself I can bring this ol girl back to life!!!

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe

Ryan,

Hard to find a pit-free frame. This can be remedied with a high quality filler to smooth things out and fill in the pits. It makes a world of difference to pay attention to this detail (vs final coat over the pitting).

Keep pluggin'!
