Corvette #100

I was the caretaker of Corvette #100 from 1989 - 1991 and sold it to the owner of#101. I found out the past history and previous owner's, the first being the past president of American Airlines. It was originally delivered by Hoskins Chevrolet in Chicago Illinois.

By now I am sure you are all probably getting sick of hearing me talk about Amelia Island, here it was on Sunday in the Buick procession. Bill

Well......It is something to see. Like I posted, I took my 39 year old Son (who Loves Cars), and my 36 year old Son (who Loves Golf & fishing, and loves Trucks) and we went to the Ray Everham (who we later found out he was driving the Superbird Valeted at our hotel) seminar on Friday at the Ritz-Carlton, and stayed at the Omni. My older Son Billy saw the Grabber Blue Buggatii EB 110 and reminded me I bought him a VHS tape of Supercars when he was about 14 and that car was in the video, how fitting / We were supposed to be there. I've never been to Pebble Beach in August, but I can only imagine. It IS something to see. But that's my opinion. Bill

For us Cuda enthusiasts, we are familiar with AAR as All American Racers.

I believe that it actually evolved from Anglo American Racers… perhaps to be more PC? Does anyone know more details about that possibility?

I believe that is William Shatner's Corvette. I know he owned one. Not sure it's that one though.

1959 Cadillac Cyclone XP 74 concept

Quote:

One of the last cars designed by Harley Earl, the Cyclone was a testbed for futuristic styling and technology. Built on a 104" wheelbase chassis, it featured a front-mounted 390 engine, rear-mounted automatic transaxle, and an all-wheel independent suspension. Uniquely, the Cyclone's engine exhaust was ported out just ahead of the front wheels. It also featured a radar-operated collision avoidance system, with the radar sensors mounted in twin "nose-cones" on the front of the car.

Of the Cyclone's stylistic features, the bubble top canopy was the most prominent. Silver coated for UV protection, the canopy automatically opened along with the sliding electrically operated doors. The canopy could also be stowed in the rear compartment, where it rested on a special air-bag base.

For those who don’t frequent CRG thought would post these pictures of 69 Camaro after terrible street racing accident in 1978 . Unfortunately driver and passenger did not survive .

Dave (A12pilot) can fix that based on the talents he's posted.
