1962 -- The car with having the distinction of being the U.S. Production car with the quickest 0-60 mph time was the 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS 409. It did it in 4.0 seconds."

"I have seen this quote multiple times. It was not a show room car.

Car was modified and had slicks. No way, even with a modern 500+hp powerplant, could a 62 Chevy do 0-60 in 4 seconds on the stock bias ply tires.

Did they actually sell a Malibu SS 350 car with cowl induction? Does anyone know what the decals are on the door?

It's an unused photo from the ad company that worked for Chevrolet. That is a pre-production car. The decals were the ad company's idea. They thought Chevy should include them with the Chevelle SS. They are decals of competitors muscle cars. Beat one in a race - put the sticker on the door like WWII fighter pilots used to do. Chevy nixed the idea as it promoted street racing.

Many times, because of timing, the ad companies would get a car to work with to create ads that wasn't a finished product. Some like the Chevelle were cobbled together by Chevy. Some had no drivetrain and had to be pushed around instead of driven.

I've seen pictures of a 70 Chevelle SS mockup with a straight six in it.

Whoever was supposed to verify the available content was asleep at the wheel that day.

'Spymaster Orcasub’ (pictured) went on sale at Harrods for around $9 million (£7m) – although there is a ‘cheaper’ $3 million (£2.4m) version available too. This extravagant toy will allow you to remain underwater for 80 hours, traveling as far as 6,000 feet under the ocean.

No longer content with a multimillion-dollar mansion, now the super-rich are ploughing money into underground bunkers for "ultimate survival". Able to withstand a nuclear blast, armed attacks, earthquakes and tsunamis, hardened facilities like the Vivos Europa One (pictured) in Germany will keep its billionaire owners safe. This particular one is a five-star, invite-only survival complex, and is valued at around $1 billion (£790m), although the price per 2,500-square-foot apartment is yet to be disclosed.

It's a factory photo (Image credit: © Chevrolet. GM Corp). And if you look very closely, you will see the Z/28 emblem is on the front fender but it has an SS emblem on the black grille.
