Woot!

I called on Turn Key Automotive in Oxford, the guys that build the COPOs, as one of my suppliers. They did the body and paint for the "special project" that I worked on.

This may be the oldest creature in the oceans - the Nautilus. Almost unchanged for the last 500 million years. Cousin to the Cuttlefish.

Ever been to a seafood resturant and seen Mahi-Mahi on the menu? This is what you would be eating. Excellent tasting BTW. Long ago it went by a different name: Dolphin. But the popularity of the old 1960s TV Show FLIPPER axed that name.

500 Million years is pretty much the limit for sea creatures - or is it? How about 2 BILLION years old.

As far as we know, life did not evolve in the shallow coastal seas. It started in the deep, black part of the oceans. Specifically in Hydrothermal vents like these Giant Tube Worms.

No sunlight so no photosynthesis. But - plenty of hydrocarbons which is required by all living things on Earth. For this reason, there is a push to go to Enceladus, one of the moons of Saturn. Because this moon has an ocean under it's ice and it isn't the only moon like this in our solar system. The thought is to look for Hydrothermal vents below the ice - where life would most likely be found. Unfortunately they haven't figured out how to get past the miles of the surface to reach in inner locked oceans. Maybe some day.

You've heard the expression; "like a fish out of water." Well here is the living proof they exist. Pacific Leaping Blennys. These fish no longer swim in the water. They were poor swimmers to begin with and became prey for many predators. They evolved. They breathe through their skin, not through gills. They live, mate and die on rocks washed by the seas which keep them wet. If too big wave comes along, they leap out of it's way up higher on the rocks, hence their name.

This could be how the first creatures left the oceans to become land dwellers hundreds of millions of years ago.

One of the ocean's mysteries . . . no one has ever seen a baby Whale Shark.

The 1969 428 R code Mustang GT convertible listed for a $1000 less than the 1969 Shelby GT500 convertible. But only 58 were sold versus 245 for the GT500

Ugly front spoiler from the Boss 302.

Don't think I have ever seen a hood fit that good on a Challenger T/A.
