This one is a 1966. You can tell because it has "spinner" wheel covers which were outlawed by the government beginning with the 1967 model year.

Yes the RIVERIA script on the fender isn't right - the car may be a pre-production unit given to the ad agency for brochure and ad setup photos prior to actual production. It may not have a drivetrain in it. Many that were used as ad copy didn't.

Apparently when life gives you lemons, making and selling lemonade is not always the best answer. In fact, it's actually illegal in most states...35 to be exact.

Unless you happen to reside in one of the states in which it's been "legalized" and are selling it there. Those living in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Vermont are in luck.

I just came across a Design Studio photo and, in the background, was a '63 or '64 Grand Prix with the actual emblem located on the front fender, under the printed words, which never happened in production.

If I can find it again I'll post it up.
