Had that little gem out for a ride yet Joe?

Nice day up here and thinking I am going to take mine out for a good spin today.

X66 714 09-10-2021 11:39 PM

Next week Graeme. My friend brought his 41 Willys coupe over for me to look at some stuff so I got side tracked. Then went for Sonoran hot dogs :)
...Joe

NorCam 09-11-2021 04:18 AM

Yeah...that would side track me too. I love a 41 Willy's coupe. Especially when nicely done up as a Gasser.

Only another week and you'll be shipping your car off the Chicago Joe. Excited for you and can't wait to see some pics from the show.

Enjoy yourself and don't eat too much pizza. https://emojipedia-us.s3.dualstack.u...izza_1f355.png

Cheers

I'll do what I can. I can post when I get home. Hopefully others will post as it's happening...Joe

Lynn, Holly and I took a day trip to Tucson this past Satuday to visit with Joe and Sheri-and to check out the Camaro.

I took a few shots, but resisted the urge to have Joe pull it out-It really needs to be seen in Chicago up close and personal.

Maybe when it's back in town I will go and take some more pics...but for the time being, enjoy these "few" pics.

Thanks to Joe and Sheri for making our visit enjoyable!

BTW, the Camaro looks spectacular

Joe does good work, the car is stunning

NorCam 11-11-2021 04:37 AM

He's a real good dude and goes all out to help out others when he can as well.

Cars not bad too!

Yep, great guy and car! Look forward to both talking to Joe in person and seeing the car next week.

My sentiments exactly!

Nice talking to you on the phone this Tuesday Joe. Your car looks great and I am looking forward to driving the 12 miles to the MCACN show and seeing it in person!

Nice meeting you at MCACN Joe, car is awesome.

Great looking car Joe. And it was nice to put a face with a name .

bbbentley 11-22-2021 08:57 PM

I really admire Joe and the dedication and work he did on his stunning, eye popping beast of a yellow car. It’s one thing to restore a copo or other solid lifter bb car where many examples exist to see details. But a lower horse AC car? It was an incredibly incredible sight to behold. Joe is a perfectionist extraordinaire. A fun guy. And great to finally meet. Congrats amigo!

olredalert 11-23-2021 04:56 PM

----AC cars are the worst restoration wise. I'm too old to do another! Loved your car, Joe! It's a piece of artwork. Congrats! Wish I could have met you but you must have been rambling around when I came by.....Bill S

Joe's car and Jim's Rats Nest COPO popped the most. I really dig that yellow Joe, did you say it was Daytona?

X66 714 11-24-2021 07:59 PM

Yes. It's Daytona yellow. Thank you, Joe

Joe, I went back thru this looking for the specific paint you guys used on the black out. How is it looking after time, and if you are happy with it can you share what you used? Thanks.

The entire car was done in PPG single stage including the black. They flattened it more than what I wanted but it still fit into what we know. It still looks wonderful. Doing an AACA points meet on Saturday.....Joe
