You have probably heard that The Great Wall Of China is the only man made structure that can be viewed from space. That is a falsehood. It can't. This was verified by astronauts trying to see it from the shuttles on the way to the Space Station. None saw it.

That's because they were looking out the other side of the craft at all the water on Jupiter's moons.

I know what you're asking . . . . . . . . . . . .WHAT IS IT?

It is called The Corphibian, a prototype that was built for GM by two of it's engineers to explore a market that only had a single competitor . . . the Amphicar. Yes - the Corphibian is designed to work on land and water. Unfortunately GM felt it would be too expensive to build and sell and abandon the project. More photos and the backstory at this link:

Longaberger Basket Headquarters, Newark, Ohio

The weird looking basket is actually a seven-story office building that can hold up to 500 people. It is owned by Longaberger which was trying to sell it in August for $5 million after failing to find someone willing to pay $7.5 million for the 180,000-square-foot structure, according to Business Insider. It was finally sold in January for $1.2 million.

Of course you know who the man on the right is. But do you know who the man on the left is?

Pete Harman. The first franchisee for Sander's Chicken. Not only is he responsible for the chains name; Kentucky Fried Chicken, but also the development of the bucket meal in 1957, and the motto “It's finger-lickin' good.”

If you thought that Chameleons change colors to camouflage themselves . . . that is a falsehood. They mostly use it to maintain a certain body temperature and as a way to communicate with other chameleons, not to hide from predators.

What is it . . . other than what you think it might be (lol).

It's a metal statue, located in San Jose CA, of the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent (who represents intelligence and self-reflection). I guess they didn't have enough money to do it properly:

If you are asking yourself what happened to the rest of it - in 1922 the 14 foot statue was struck by lightening destroying the top half.

I tried to post this this morning and could not get it to work right. I am a farmer, but this has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. At certain times of the year they decorate these which usually involves covering them with something.

Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone.

"One traditional drawback of the traditional two-door body style is the long, heavy door required to provide access for rear-seat passengers. GM engineers attempted to make the matter more manageable with this linear-opening arrangement for the 1975 Monte Carlo, not unlike the side-door mechanism later employed on a host of minivans. Obviously, the feature never made it to production—on two-door sedans, anyway."
