Re: Erica Enders
Well...It's 9 in a row for the KB racing team. 5 for Jason and 4 for Greg...that Hogan manifold must be working well for them and to have dominated so much this year. Bo Butner is right there as well so hats off to that team for getting the jump on this really difficult EFI system.
I am headed to the Summer Nationals in Englishtown New Jersey on Sunday to see Erica race. Have a few things for her and a few postcards for her to sign. Any one else going to the race this weekend? Spirits are up at the Elite camp and gaining on this EFI set up every week...here are a few words from Erica about the team. http://geigermediaglobal.blogspot.co...pro-stock.html Dave 67 Nova Boy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics..._for_elite.png |

Would not have mattered any...Vincent is driving Erica's 2015 championship car now and is only doing a tic better. The EFI is kicking most of the teams butt! They have the H/P but have not figured out the right combination to make these cars run the numbers that need to be ran yet. Hogan/Wilson manifolds seem to help more and team owners have them locked up in contracts so other teams are out.Roy & Alan Johnson are using Wilson manifolds and made it to the finals last Monday but was out ran by Greg Anderson. Teams are catching up and the KB boys know their winning ways are slowly dwindling! I'm Chevrolet for life and said the same thing about Elite changing brands but its not the issue like we all like to think. Small gains are giant gains in the racing world today so be patient...it will be ok soon. Psssssssst...I heard that a shifter slinging guy named Scardino was headed down on Friday to help out in the Elite pits to get them on the right track! Dave 67 Nova Boy |

I wonder about the future of Pro Stock and the NHRA in general. They are not filling the 16 car fields in several classes.

Exactly. Why spend $50+ for one day at a NHRA event when you can spend $60 for the whole weekend at an event and see (in my opinion) better & more interesting racing with classes like Radial vs The World, X275, Leaf Spring Shootout, etc.. |
Re: Erica Enders
SCSN (Street car super nationals) also ... In vegas every nov. 20 My wife and I found this race a few years ago and we've gone back ever since 100 bucks for 2 of us for 2 full weekend passes ... They get in about 8 to 10 hours worth of racing each day with a neat air show as the thunderbirds launch from Nellis

Re: Erica Enders
If NHRA would see what they're looking at, ..........
We've been going to Bowling Green, KY for the Nat'l Hot Rod Reunion since the inception, (this will be the 14th Annual) and have been to the March Meet in Famoso the past two years. The Nostalgia Shows are kicking A$$. The stands are packed for these events and the pits are crowded to see some virtual unknowns in the sport. Then you add some former and current 'Big Names' who have chosen to support the Nostalgia theme and you've got one helluva show. Cruz & Gary Densham, to name a couple, are HUGE draws at these events and then you add Mike Boyd in the Winged Express, .......... and Adam Sorokin (son of Mike, the famed shoe of the "Surfers" ), ..... Damn folks, what more can you want? Nostalgia is where it's at! I wonder why. Could it be that the cars don't all look alike: that the cars aren't all rolling billboards for corporate sponsors; that there are more than TWO TEAMS filling each category???? Nah, I'm sure the NHRA Desk Jockies know more than the fans and the racers! |

Are they more???? Going tomorrow to watch some fast racing at E town. Just read on the Mello Yello site that if you bring an empty can or bottle of M/Y you get $8.00 off the admission price of $57 for spectators and & $67 for reserve. Giant and Acme have them for $4.95 for a 12 pack. Worth the price Id say! https://www.melloyello.com/home/ Dave 67 Nova Boy |

Guess who made it on film! Yep...that's Sam talking to Charlie from the Grump camp and Black Arrow racing. Erica was signing for a little girl and made her day. That's me...well some of me getting some postcards signed and Sis Courtney taking a snap shot of it all. Rough day for Erica and the Elite camp but moving on The Thunder Valley raceway in Bristol. Erica had the #1 spot up to Q3 but dropped to #2 with a pass of 6.933 198.03 in Bandimere {Denver}..Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals. She will race A Prusiensky in the first round.
Gas Monkey Garage driver Alex Laughlin took the first #1 spot ever! This could be the turn around for K.B.Racing as they have won every race this year so far but.....I see a new winner this week!! Remember that this will be shown on FOX Not Fox 1 at 3PM...got that Sammy!!!! Guess who has a NEW Mopar teammate...Leah Pritchett! I know Sammy!!! Just seeing if your paying attention... Erica had a small part failure in the second round to slow to a 7.026 "From Erica her self" "We had a parts failure that round," Enders said. "We should have been able to go out there and run a .98 absolutely no problem because we took where the failure in the run happened and did a run completer from there. We were actually on a better run than Greg (Anderson) in that round and he went a .99." Off to Sonoma California for the second race of the western swing. Dave 67 Nova Boy |

Real tough day for Erica Enders... SONOMA, Calif. (July 31) -- Two-time and reigning Pro Stock champion Erica Enders has been hoping the breaks start turning her way in this transitional drag racing season, but when her engine broke in the water box just seconds before her opening-round pass, even she couldn't believe her misfortune. "It's almost like 'what else could go wrong,' " said Enders, the most prolific female Pro Stock racer of all time. "It's just a tough, tough way to end the day ... before it even started. "I fired up and rolled through the water box, and as I went to get the rpm up for the burnout, I heard a weird noise in the engine. I radioed the guys and they had me hold there for a minute at idle to see if it would clear itself up, but it was pretty obvious we had a problem. I had no choice; I had to shut it off." AlexisDeJoria Racing... Wow- Alexis hits the gas & the Patrσn Camry makes a violent left turn & smacks hard into the wall. Alexis exits the car under her own power. Update: Alexis was transported to a nearby hospital for precautionary evaluation. More updates to follow. Dave 67 Nova Boy |
