Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
Do I read that correctly, the Arlen Vanke Hemi Barracuda sold for $2,000,000? I can't find any other info to verify this. If it really sold for $2million, why isn't there more buzz about that? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
"Sold" is a relative term. It ain't over till the money and title have exchanged hands. However, I was in the gallery (took the photos) when the auction for the Vanke car was "sold" to the high bidder at $2mil. Not sure why there is no big press on this car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif R & S are slow (compared to BJ) to post their results. Only me and 500 of my closest friends were privy to this info.

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
So what did the Lyle Mader Carolina Blue JL8 ordered crossram car sell for?

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
And if anyone knows the final bid on the orange 70 Chevelle LS6, please share it as well. No results yet on the R&S site. Thanks...

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
Did not get the final bid on the Carolina Blue Z, but as I recall the Monaco Orange LS6 was bid to $120 or so. Sign on car in corral was "reserve was $135K or $140" as I recall. I believe owner shld have taken this.

Re: Russo and Steele
The 7o 442 W-30 sold for $135K plus buyers fee and went to a new home. Seller did not buy it back.

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
My recollection was that the high bid on the Carolina Blue Z was 100K with a reserve of 175K. The H-O LS6 had a high bid of 120K with a reduced reserve on Sunday of 128K. Both went through again on Sunday. Had to catch my flight so I don't know the finial out come.

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
I still don't see any attraction in that blue Z..

Re: Russo and Steele/Vanke's Hemi Barracuda
Did nothing for me in person. I was intrigued when I saw the pix on the R & S web site. The NC blue LS6 from last year, althought not a perfect resto looked better than this. Love the history and docs, but sometimes that is not enough. Not my cup of tea either.
