Ed---The project needed some sponsoring--Sony fit the bill---******Glad it wasn't Toy's-R-US--I couldn't take seeing bobble head dolls on the dash or rear shelf*******--------IMO the Motion crew had to come out with an agressive project to show Motion could play with the big guys in todays engineering/design market trend ---------I'd bet dollars to doughnuts if Motion came out with anything less the media would have chewed them up saying they were out of tune with the rest of the market and stuck in the shadows of the 60's-- ----------Some people mentioned the " MULE ", well this is Motions Mule and it had to cause a stir, from both sides of the camps.----Hey, I would have liked to see a nice Rosewood steering wheel or short-throw hurst shifter( without the boot ED https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif ) more rubber less wheel--but like Motions first " MULE "--The bumperless PhaseIII " take no prisoners " Camaro --The New Motion Camaro can be customized to each individuals taste (past--present or future) and like the Original PhaseIII's it does make a statement--- whether you agree with the car's concept or not--Motion is STILL OUTRAGIOUS after all these years---And as ED would say-- https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif

Not the way this car is built, no... They'd never fit.. But hey Joel is going to build 12 of them.. I'd like to see one built around some deep dish slots with some skinnys on the front https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif And sidepipes would be cool too... Bring a little past Motion into the present https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

This is cool,I didn't know this:

"For those with a little less to spend, the company is also making 25 Motion Phase III Camaros which it will sell for about $189,000 each, said Jaworske. Those cars, Jaworske said, will more closely resemble original 1969 Camaros and will use some original body parts."

Re: new 69 Motion at SEMA

I've read all the posts both good and bad and have to say some of you don't seem to get it! Like it or not you have to appreciate the effort and the result for what it is. It takes some skills to clone something that was cutting edge 30+ years ago or restore a classic but that's paint, body and turning wrenches. It's all been done and is done over and over every day. It really takes something special to go where others haven't been, it takes all the other skill sets along with imagination, style and flair. Sure the car is over the top by classic car standards but as someone already pointed out, everything Motion did in the early years was over the top for the times. IMO anything less today in 2005 and it wouldn't be worthy of the Motion name... Before someone counters, I'm not saying the planned half price versions will be any less of a special car. More to the liking of the nay sayers maybe, less show car glitz and glamor I'm sure but I bet they still pack a punch... Take a look at the past and go back and look at the present...
