Re: Interesting

I called the phone number listed in the first auction and left him a message. Too bad there in no way to catch these scammers and put an end these things.

Re: Interesting

Just got a response to my e-mail, Thought it was pretty amusing--Crooked, but amusing--Here it is as worded and spelled-----
Hello and thank you for contacting me
I will tell you a few words about the car
First of all the car is fully restored and looks just like in the pictures.
It is in imaculate condition and has no schrach on and hasn't bee involved in any accident.
The motor runs very well. This is a classic car that has a lot of the original parts and thr tires are almost new.
The title is clear, it is not a salvage one.
The car belongs to my brother. He died two weeka ago in a bike accident.
The car is now in Paris, France as my brother lived there. I am now here as i took care of the funerals.
Because i can't carry all his things back home i am selling them.
I am willing to sell it and shipp it to any of the UE countries or to US. I will not ship to any African, Asian or Eastern European countries.
I know that the price is low but i have no use for the car and I want to gat back home as soon as i sell it.
I want to sell the car asap so I am willing to pay the shipping fees nomatter of the location.
I require a deposit of 3000USD, with the balance when the car arrive at your shipping door.
The total price i hope to sell this car is 9,000USD
I will ship using KLM 3-5 days, by plane to the nearest airport. From ther a truck will bring the car at your door.
The moneys a reservation for the car.
First one who makes the deposit willbe the buyer. I need the deposit to be sure you want the car and in order to proceed with shipping and all the additional export taxes.
I wait your further questions and will provide any infos you need.
Thank you
Regards!

Re: Interesting

That is pretty much the same generic email that they send out on all these scams. "The Car" could be a $150,000 Z28 or a $200 Gremlin. Email them back and ask some basic questions about the car that anyone that knows anything about cars would know, like what the firing order is https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/laugh.gif.

Re: Interesting

Why is it in all these scam e-mails, the guy can't spell, dosent he have spell check?. I wonder if its the same guy all the time?, becouse the story is always somewhat the same. Not only that but if anybody with half a brain would notice that he has a pile of these scams going at one time. If it's the same guy, why can't e-bay put a stop to this?.I notice that they take these scams off pretty quick
