Not a "supercar" but I did rescue a 68 Chevelle SS 396/375 4sp out of the Eastside 8 yrs ago from the original owner that was sold new at Bokman, it needed a full resto so I sold it. If I knew how to post pics of that I would. 2 cars in my collection worthy of this page but aren't supercars are a 68 L34 4sp and 70 L78 auto Nova's.

I had no idea Steve passed away, thats very sad to hear, his collection was legendary. I still am not sure which superbirds he had besides one white one (which I believe is the last superbird made) but he had some wild stories ive heard.
I think you can add attachments in additional options when you quote to reply or reply. We'd love to see your Novas! Supercar or not, L78 Novas are super cool!

Yeah about 2 years ago if I recall correctly. I'll try tonight when I get home with the pictures.

I have enjoyed so much reading the posts in this thread. I started driving in 1965 and over the next few years had quite a few muscle cars and still do. This thread brings back a lot of memories and the sharing of stories by those posting makes for great reading. I live in Ontario and we often crossed over to, I think it was called Niagara Raceway, in the late 60's to watch drag racing. It's great to here about all muscle cars, not just GM's, even though thats what I have. I hope people do not get tired of this thread and keep contributing. Have a great day.

he sold the white one years ago. he still had 2 blue ones( a B5 and a Petty blue), a yellow one and a limelight one. the limelight one was sandblasted and the panels were warped really bad, so steve put it on the back burner and never got to it.

Yes his neice Shelby inherited the cars.. His brother Daves daughter.

where on the East side was the chevelle? i knew of a garage that had a chevelle and a 69 camaro in it right on Bailey by Walden..seen them once when the door was open and never saw them again.

I bought it on Herman St off Best. I had to remove around 60 screws from the door as he screwed it shut haha. Car was last registered in 71 and it was rough from being in a damp garage, none the less I saved it and a guy from Ohio bought it. No idea what his plans were with it.

We grew up around the block from Steve and Dave Battaglia. Spent a lot of time with them playing sports then cars and just hanging around with them as kids.
