TPD out of Sacramento, had four of them over the years wouldn't get anything else. Mine have all been for racing,proprietary laminate incredibly strong- you can put 5-6 people on the roof at the track try that with aluminum. Best resale out there in my experience.

Marlin,

Some trailer manufacturers do not cut tubing to fit - they &quot; fill in &quot; with the weld.
Some welds do not completely bridge the gap.

As I stated - the roads in this country are in shit shape.

Aluminum framed trailers - those with the base frame as well as sidewalls &amp; roof framed from aluminum
tend to flex more readily because of the characteristics of the material.

You can't adequately inspect an enclosed trailer beyond crawling underneath to see if
wear &amp; tear are stressing &amp; cracking welds.

My trailer I am running now is full perimeter 8 inch steel tubing that is 3/16&quot; thick.
The center tonge tube is also * inch and runs clear back to the first axle.

Empty - my 34 foot custom car hauler weighs 6000 pounds.

How many miles a year do you average ? I think most of us probably tow a fraction of the miles you do.

In a good year I might see 85,000 miles.

I &quot; wear out &quot; a trailer in about (3) years.

Sure - more miles accelerate wear but the interstate road system nationwide is in such poor
condition- you can tow 1000 miles a year &amp; equate that to 25,000 miles in wear &amp; tear.

Everything I learn I pass along .....

Nothing is stronger than a properly constructed full steel perimeter steel frame enclosed trailer.

Why do you use the barn type doors in the rear instead of the ramp door? Just wondered, I'm sure you have a good reason.

Dave and I own a 24ft enclosed Triple B trailer we purchased used from a dear friend in about 2002 or so. Figure it was a few years old before we got it. It stays outside and has some topical rust but with regular brake, light, tire, and cosmetic maintenance, it has been a total rock for us and considering our purchase price, has paid for itself 1,000 times over in last 15 years. The best part of the trailer [aside from the large side door] is the low profile height which is perfect for gas motor trailering. We haul with a 2011 Denali with a 6.2L V8, tow package (I think 4.10s and 8,000lb tow capacity). We'll never own a diesel truck so not having the wind drag (extra strain on the motor), is a big plus especially mountains (up or down). The trailer has a useful life of 20 years which we're approaching and I'm confident we'll get that + more out of the investment. Seldom seen but really high quality piece.

I haul a variety of transportation related cargo.

My first enclosed trailer had a ramp door with extra hinges on the bottom.
It wore out from daily use in less than a year.
I need an 8 foot rear clearance door because I haul tall vehicles on occasion.

Rear barns doors actually cost more than a ramp door.
I requested (5) hinges per door to save on hinge wear.

My ramps are commercial quality American Made by Discount Ramps in Wisconsin.

I just happened to notice this detail on the hitch of the inTech. They bothered to clock the gold washers. They also use RTV at all the seams. Notice black RTV next to the black hitch and light gray RTV between the two aluminum pieces. Extra steps to make it &quot;just right&quot;.
