A guy I met at Dover AFB in 75 had a Mr. Gasket unit in his 68 Z28. I was curious how it worked so he let me drive the car. First time for this shifter but not for a 4 speed. Going into 2nd I wasn't paying attention to where my middle finger was and I yanked so hard I caught my finger nail on the support loop for that front handle rod and ripped my nail completely off. I like the shifter but I've been gun shy since then. Really messy. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else or was it just a flook(sp). Been looking to buy one for my son when he gets his project going.

Another vintage Hurst Roll Control switch just sold. This one only went for $152, about $100 less than the last one!

It was the same seller says in the second listing " Re-listing due to non paying bidder ,this is a auction you bid you win you pay for it". Possible bidding up the last 2 bidders in first auction were in at over 250.00. A couple of weeks ago a complete 60"s hurst roll control in the box was on for a month and finally sold at 174.00 I believe.

Hey Jeff ...How are you doing ? That shifter was put in after we sold the car . We had modified and installed a shifter from a 1966 Grand Prix . It had the detents ground to make it work with the reverse pattern valve body .Neutral,1 and 2 were on the same level then the button had to be depressed for 3rd and also reverse and park.It was a $10 shifter that always worked flawlessly.I think the only aftermarket shifter available back then was a dualgate and it didnt like the reverse pattern.

I'm fine. How you feelin?
See, I'm still learning, huh? When the car came from Norwood, was there a console or just the auto shift on the floor.
