Re: Winter Granny Project..
Sammy, yes I am. We did some paint work on the lower part of the subframe not shown here...I will probably work on that upper stuff one night this week.

Did some more work tonite...stripped her right down, so I can paint the motor and frame. Boy some of the stuff was very brittle...the temp sending unit fell apart in my hand. PCV hose was so dry rotted it crumbled into little pieces...wire harness clips, same thing..snap!! Overall the stuff is pretty solid...couple of items to repair and refurbish, like the carb (see resto thread). I am going to try the Eastwood Chevy orange engine paint with a brush...we also used a product from SEM called "rustshield"...this stuff is dyanmite, Jason Hale hooked me up with it. We painted the inner fenders, under the hood, back of fenders...and they look beautiful. I'm going to brush it on the sub-frame and paint some other hardware for the car. Here are a couple of pics of the engine bay...just a little more prep and then some paint.

RustShield is great stuff. It goes on like frosting. I use it all the time. Looking good Tom!
