Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Update:
I am buying a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter mechanism, and the install kit/rods. Can't wait to get my hands on it!! Hopefully this week. I plan to make a receiver to use my original shifter handle (one hole) with the Comp shifter (two holes) I don't want to modify the original handle:-) My Father in law has agreed I can bring my car to his place after MCACN, and remove the front clip and body. Then I will bring the chassis to my house for restoration/rebuild. This is getting real in a hurry, keeping it Barn Find condition and buying parts is easy, compared to continuously finding time to rebuild items. I have carved out one night a week plus Saturday's (other than special events) Ryan |

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I will be going for a reliable low maintenance resto of the chassis. For example certain surfaces that were left bare metal on my car will be black so they remain rust free for the future.

As you're loading her up for MCACN, spray down all your chassis and core support bolts with penetrating spray. Perfect time to do so...as upon your return home, it GETS REAL!
How are the Chop-Sticks Dan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Good plan Dan!!!
Busy buying CNC machines in Japan, (at one facility they even had a museum Ohio machine, a Warner and Swasey "chucker'" machine!! A real blast from the past! Ryan |
Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe
Hey now! We had a dozen of those old W&S "chuckers" and they made us 100's of millions! If some idiot in our company hadn't pawned them off I 'm sure they'd have made us millions more! Old school and trouble free for half a century, let's see a good CNC after 50 years! We still have a 30 year old Trumpf and Fadel and they act it!
