It's an unused ad photo of a 1970 Boss 302 with 1969 wheels and a color combo never offered.

Growing up with a string of gnarly Pontiacs nearly proved to be my undoing as a young development engineer at Milford.

My boss took me out for a ride in a manual shifted pickup truck.

"Hear that gear whine?" he asked. "You gotta fix that".

"Fix it?" I said. "I like it!"
