A buddy of mine was testing those engines lasr year.

I think GM missed that market bigtime. There should have been LT4 powered "SS" Silverados and Sierras running around for a few years by now instead of leaving it all to Ram, Jeep, Ford, etc.

Mercedes-Benz has said before that they would never sell the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR ‘Uhlenhaut Coupé’, but it appears just that may have happened in a secret auction. The source says the car was auctioned off for charity, and went for a price of 130 million Euros, or $136.8 million dollars. If true, this is easily the most expensive car ever sold at an auction.

In 1969, Chrysler painted their engines two different colors depending whether they were high performance (Orange) or low performance (Turquoise). Order either a Road Runner or Super Bee and you got the HiPo 383/335 HP engine:

But . . . if you ordered AC, you got the LP 383/330 HP engine. In this case your engine would be painted Turquoise not Orange like this Super Bee with AC:

This Road Runner (Convertible) was ordered with Factory AC. It is NOT the correct color. Should be Turquoise not Orange:

1972 Road Runner. Chrysler stopped using those wheels after the 1968 model year and 1969 was the last year for redlines. Easily fixed.

For 1967 and 1968 Pontiac offered the Firebird H.O. 67 got the 326/285 HP engine while 68 got the 350/320 HP engine. Both years got the side stripes with the "H. O." in them.

Then in 1968 Pontiac offered the 400 H. O. engine: 5 more HP than the 400 (335 vs 330). I have seen many 68 Firebirds with these stripes on them:

They are NOT correct. You could get the side stripes on any Firebird but they would be solid - no "H. O." in them

Order a Firebird 400, 400 H.O. or 400 Ram Air, these are the optional stripes.
