Neuschwanstein, aka King Ludwig's castle, in the Bavarian Alps of Southern Germany. Beautiful place to visit!! This is the back side, the front side is an even better view IMO.

Haha, not that I recall.... Seen from the front, it is easy to understand why it was Walt Disney's inspiration for the Magic Kingdom.

We visigted Neuschwanstein over the Christmas Holidays four years ago, it was beatuiful. Kind of a damp castle inside, though.

The top image is the Marlboro Man ad that was created by the man in the second image: Leo Burnett

How successful was that ad campaign? In 1955, the year the Marlboro Man campaign debuted, sales of Malboro hit $5 billion -- a 3,241% increase over 1954's sales.

And here's your trivia question for the day: Who was the voice of Tony the Tiger?

Answer: Thurl Ravenscroft, who was also the uncredited singer of the "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" song in The Grinch Who Stole Chritsmas.

GM Photostore indicates it is my alma mater, Chevrolet Flint Assembly (Truck plant), circa 1970.

The fact that it is a mixture of big block and small block indicates a final assembly location, rather than engine assembly (therefore the engines are coming out of the racks and onto the line, not vice versa).

The plants in Flint, Pontiac and other areas in SE Michigan are close to "headquarters" which makes photographic trips easier.

And cigarettes were, what, 20 cents a pack then ? At 5 packs per dollar, that's 25 billion packs with 20 cigarettes in each...500 billion cigarettes a year...

Hi,

I’m curious, is this car still wearing it’s Original Paint?

Thanks.

The front hood was replaced by the previous owner and that's the only non original paint as far as I know. I haven't found any over spray anywhere on the car and in person it has it's wear/tear, dings and such. My car came from Rochester, NY and has been exposed to the elements there. While the trunk floor is solid, around the front windshield and the back window it's a little crispy. The floor of the car has had some replacement. Here's another shot.
